"Oh my God! They killed Spidey! It's true. More than 10 years ago, writer Brian Michael Bendis brought Ultimate Spider-Man into the world, and today he's taken him out. According to Bendis, this isn't temporary, either. Is there a future for a Spider-Man without Peter Parker?"
Aljon's Take:
Wow! Even if Marvel's 'Ultimate' Universe is more of an alternate universe it still carries weight and has the possibility of changing things. Peter Parker is timeless and a character that I could relate to from the moment I picked up comics. I am, however, interested in where this takes the comic series.

Big mistake. Peter Parker the man is what made Spider-Man unique. He was an everyman type character to which readers could relate. He made Spider-Man HUMAN.
ReplyDeleteNot saying that they can't make things interesting or do a good job with a post-Parker storyline... but something tells me they're gonna wish they hadn't done it sooner or later.
