Canal Plus and Disney Announce SVOD Partnership

Animated and live action titles available to subscribers.

French pay TV giant Canal Plus and Disney have announced a deal to make the studio's catalogue available through their CanalPlay Infinity VOD service beginning March 1.

The deal will give CanalPlay Infinity subscribers access to Disney and Pixar's back catalogue as part of its SVOD service across all screens, including traditional TV, tablets, game consoles and internet through

The available library will include classics such as Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, and the newer offerings of Pixar such as Cars, Wall-E, and A Bug's Life.  Live action films from Mary Poppins through the Pirates of the Caribbean series will also be available.

“We are very pleased to strengthen our partnership with Disney Group and thus to become the first subscription VOD platform to offer to its subscribers a catalogue of such iconic and prestigious animated Disney titles,” said Patrick Holzman, director of CanalPlay.
