Adrian Pasdar to guest star in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”

Marvel has just announced another stellar actor who will be guest starring in an upcoming episode "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Actor Adrian Pasdar will be playing Glenn Talbot, who in Marvel comic lore was a Hulk hunter.

Here's a quote from a Marvel.com interview with Pasdar:

Marvel.com: To start with, how did your role as Glenn Talbot come about with S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Adrian Pasdar: In the same way that Iron Man [in “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble”] came up. I got a call from my good friend, ["Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Executive Producer] Jeph Loeb. “Would you come and do this role?” and I read the character description and I thought, “Oh man. Here it is again. The sanctimonious [jerk]. That’s what they’re coming to me for.” [laughs] His way’s the only way! I said, “Jeph, are you trying to tell me something?” He said, “No, not at all! Nobody can play this quite like you, but no.” [laughs] So he came to me and I said yes.

Sci-fi fans may recognize Pasdar from the role of Nathan Patrelli on the hit series "Heroes" where he teamed with Jeph Loeb who was also an executive producer on the show. He is also no stranger to the Marvel Universe and ABC as he is the official voice of Tony Stark/Iron Man for the latest crop of Marvel Animation Studios shows "Marvel's Avengers Assemble," "Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H." and "Ultimate Spider-Man" all airing on Disney XD. He also recently played Alec Rybak on ABC Family's hit show "The Lying Game."

Does having the character of Glenn Talbot mean that S.H.I.E.L.D. will eventually have a story arc involving the Incredible Hulk? I have been on record stating on Sorcerer Radio's WDW Tiki Room show and on the WDW After Dark webcast as seeing the series weaving in the Hulk in future stories mirroring the current Marvel comic where Banner works for the agency. With the rumors of a Hulk television series in development and not having any Hulk films slated in Phase 2 or 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe slate the possibility is there. That would make for a great second season of what is already a great show.
