An adventure and action-filled television special, "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars" is set to premiere SATURDAY, JULY 26 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The story is set a couple summers ago in a galaxy far, far away when Phineas, Ferb and the gang are in a parallel universe during Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Iconic Star Wars characters Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2 are featured in this special event programming.

Beginning, Saturday, July 19, verified users on WATCH Disney Channel will be treated to a first look at "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars." It will also be presented during a night of Star Wars-themed programming, MONDAY, AUGUST 4 (7:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD, and will be immediately followed by an extended first look at the highly-anticipated "Star Wars Rebels."

Avid Star Wars fans and "Phineas and Ferb" creators/executive producers, Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh make cameos as themselves in the animated special.

Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation, said, "Dan and Swampy have put their unique spin on the iconic events in A New Hope, and have created fun ways for the characters to interact within the Star Wars universe."

In "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars," Phineas and Ferb are living just one moisture farm over from Luke Skywalker on the planet of Tatooine when R2-D2 and the Death Star plans inadvertently fall into their speeder. With the fate of the galaxy thrust upon their shoulders, they hire pilot Isabella, Han Solo's rival, to help them return the plans to the Rebel Alliance. Complicating matters, low-ranking Stormtrooper Candace is intent on busting the Rebels and chases them across the galaxy in hopes of retrieving the Death Star plans.

Pre-order Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Roleplaying Game

If you're a fan of classic roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons you'll love the latest release from Fantasy Flight Games - Star Wars: Age of Rebellion.

Pre-order Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG Core Rulebook today! Read the game preview below for more details.

Yes! I said closer! Move as close as you can and engage those Star Destroyers at point-blank range.”
Lando Calrissian

You and your wingmates barely manage to evade the laser blasts fired by the trio of TIE interceptors on your backs long enough to weave through an asteroid field, only to find an Imperial Star Destroyer dropping out of hyperspace ahead of you on the opposite side…

Welcome to life in the Star Wars®: Age of Rebellion™ Roleplaying Game!

As a member of the Rebel Alliance, you’re part of an outmatched, rag-tag resistance group fighting in a civil war that spans the galaxy. Your enemies are more numerous and better funded. Their tactics rely upon the overwhelming strength of their TIEs, troopers, and Star Destroyers, and they’re everywhere.

Every hero needs a worthy adversary, and in an Age of Rebellion campaign, you’ll gain a newfound respect for the military might of the tyrannical Galactic Empire. In previous previews, we’ve looked at what it means to play a part in a war against the galaxy’s ruling government. We saw how your participation in the Rebellion effort gives meaning to your actions, and we saw how it influences your view of the galaxy.

Today, we look at the challenges ahead of you. What stands between the Rebel Alliance and galactic freedom? A horde of Imperial adversaries, and a whole navy’s worth of vehicles and starships. Altogether, the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook features more than two-dozen pages of Imperial adversaries, vehicles, and weapons, as well as a host of others that the Empire can recruit or co-opt.

You’ll find entire legions of Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers, and even Dark Troopers among the various minions, rivals, and nemeses presented in the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook. Alongside such Imperial troops, you’ll also find DeStab agents, Imperial Moffs, military informants, and TIE aces.

The Core Rulebook divides the Empire’s forces into two categories, bureaucratic and military, and the result is an Imperial menace that operates on multiple levels simultaneously. It’s not just a collection of troopers waiting to gun you down; it’s also a soul-crushing organization that looks to root out dissension, sow distrust, spread fear through the galaxy, and extinguish the last flames of hope and resistance.

Accordingly, you’ll find all the adversaries you need to enjoy a wide variety of stories, ranging from those that feature heated firefights to those that focus on the Rebellion’s efforts to rally support and acquire resources without alerting the Empire’s attention. You’ll find minions to defend your Imperial bases, and you’ll find cruel and aspiring agents capable of matching wits with the Rebellion’s greatest heroes.

Vehicles and Starships

Of course, the Empire’s military consists of more than just soldiers, pilots, commanders, and agents. Its strength stems largely from its use of powerful, technologically advanced vehicles and starships, many of which you’ll find presented in the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook.

Imagine, for a moment, that you’re part of a Rebel strike team tasked with jamming Imperial transmissions from one of their reconnaissance outposts. At first, everything seems to go well. You get the jump on their perimeter and quickly move through a handful of defenders toward the compound’s communications array. However, as you start placing your explosives on the bunker doors, you hear the thunderous sound of something bad. One of your teammates steps around the corner and confirms your suspicions: an AT-AT has just returned to base…

It’s not impossible for Rebel characters to prevail against AT-ATs or Star Destroyers, but such situations are truly desperate and should lead your group to perform an immediate reevaluation of its tactics. Moreover, these are the sorts of situations that may punctuate the key turns of an Age of Rebellion campaign. After all, in the heat of a galactic civil war, you should expect both sides to make use of all the weapons at their disposal.

That means, too, that while the Imperials gain vehicles like the AT-AT and AT-ST, along with a veritable swarm of TIEs and capital ships, the Rebels gain the T-47 airspeeder and such classic starfighters as the X-wing, A-wing, and B-wing.

Shedding more light upon the many vehicles and starships that you’ll find in the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook is contributing author Jason Marker:

“I'm a huge fan of starships, so when I was offered the chance to work on the serious business military ships featured in Age of Rebellion, I jumped at the chance.

“Age of Rebellion is, necessarily, military-oriented and the ships included in the Core Rulebook reflect that. With them, you’ll be able to fly space superiority missions in brand new X-wings, lead a squadron of B-wings against a squadron of capital ships and turn them into hot scrap, blast swarms of TIE fighters into clouds of dust with stolen Lancer-class frigates, and generally have a great time at the controls of a spaceship.

“There’s a deep well of great Star Wars ships, ranging from tiny little scout ships to fast-attack starfighters like the X-wing to lumbering Super Star Destroyers, so one thing I really wanted was to bring the Anaxes War College into the game. Using the Anaxes War College gave the setting a more military-style system for naming and classifying ships and allowed for specific categories of ships that I could populate with a rich collection of established favorites.”

Using the Anaxes War College as a guide, the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook categorizes the starships it presents into starfighters, gunships, cruisers, and battleships, and you’ll find starships of all sorts, ranging from the A-wing to the Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Moreover, you’ll find new rules for barrage fire that will allow you to make good use of the Core Rulebook’s capital ships in dramatic and engaging space combats.

As Jason explains, the Core Rulebook’s collection of starships also helped to establish the game’s tone:

“The Imperial Navy has the resources of the entire galaxy at its beck and call. They have the most money, the best designers, the most respected shipyards, and they can turn out ships at an incredible rate.

“On the other hand, the Alliance is using second or third-hand ships that are decades old – fighters that were old during the Clone Wars, and sub-capital cruisers and frigates that are long past their prime.

“I wanted to make it clear that the Imperial Navy was a new, shiny, deadly efficient military force and the Alliance fleet was a rag-tag collection of antiques, repurposed freighters, and salvaged warships doing the best they could in an ugly situation.”

Resist the Empire’s Tyranny

Though you manage to salvage the damaged CR90 corvette and its armaments, there’s no time to celebrate. Your hyperdrive is offline, and sensors indicate a swarm of TIEs headed your way. Quickly, your team jumps into action. Talvin races to engineering. Kyle and Pol’tura head to the nearest gunnery stations. Drezzen boosts the sensors and finds the ship that launched those TIEs – a Vindicator-class heavy cruiser. You won’t last long against that ship, especially while your corvette is already damaged. As the Vindicator rounds the desert moon, you order the gunners to lay down a blanket barrage. You’re outnumbered and outgunned, but if you can make the jump to hyperspace before you’re obliterated, you’re going to strike a major blow against the Empire…

In the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook, you’ll find an Imperial menace worthy of the galaxy’s greatest heroes. Are you one of them? The Rebel Alliance needs you.

The Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook is due to arrive at retailers late next week. Until then, stay tuned for more information, including a preview of your adventures in Age of Rebellion!

Ben Kingsley was born in England. His father, Rahimtulla Harji Bhanji, was of Gujrati Indian descent, and his mother, Anna Lyna Mary (Goodman), was British. Ben began to act in stage plays during the 1960s. He soon became a successful stage actor, and also began to have roles in films and TV. His birth name was Krishna Bhanji - but he changed his name to "Ben Kingsley" soon after gaining fame as a stage actor, fearing that a foreign name could hamper his acting career.

Ben Kingsley first earned international fame for his performance in the 1982 movie, Gandhi (1982). His performance as "Mahatma Gandhi" earned him international fame. He won many awards - including an Oscar for Best Actor. He also won Golden Globe, BAFTA and London Film Critics' Circle Awards. After acting in Gandhi (1982), Ben was recognized as one of the finest British actors.

After his international fame for appearing in Gandhi (1982), Kingsley appeared in many other famous movies. His success as an actor continued. In 1993, his performance as "Itzhak Stern" in the movie, Schindler's List (1993) earned him a BAFTA nomination. Schindler's List (1993) won seven Oscars, including Best Picture. During the late 1990s, Kingsley acted in many successful movies. He played "Sweeney Todd" in the 1998 TV movie, The Tale of Sweeney Todd (1997). For his performance in this movie, he was nominated for the Screen Actors' Guild Award. His other notable role was as "Otto Frank" in the TV movie Anne Frank: The Whole Story (2001), for which he won a Screen Actors' Guild Award.

Frozen Summer Fun Live comes to Disney's Hollywood Studios

This summer, Disney's Hollywood Studios will be celebrating "Frozen," the hit animated feature film from Disney, with a daily character procession, sing-alongs with Anna and Elsa, fireworks, a polar playground, ice skating rink, ice carving demonstrations and a nightly party featuring a live band, all themed to the worldwide phenomenon.

From July 5-Sept. 1, 2014, "Frozen Summer Fun Live!" will bring to life the world of royal sisters Anna and Elsa and their fairy tale kingdom of Arendelle. Most activities are included in theme park admission.

Special experiences will immerse guests in lots of Frozen fun. Here are some highlights (*schedule subject to change without notice):

Anna's & Elsa's Royal Welcome: Each day at 11 a.m., Anna and Elsa, riding in a horse-drawn sleigh, will travel in a royal procession down Hollywood Boulevard. Rugged mountain man Kristoff is along for the fun joined by a flurry of skaters, skiers and ice cutters, all dressed in their Arendelle best.

For The First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration: Inside the park's Premiere Theater, Princess Anna and Queen Elsa join the Royal Historians of Arendelle for a fun and comedic retelling of the history of their kingdom amidst projections, lighting and special effects. Guests will be invited to join in special sing-along moments from the film's chart-topping soundtrack. At the end of the performance, guests might find themselves becoming "Honorary Citizens of Arendelle." The 20-minute show will be presented multiple times each day.

Wandering Oaken's Trading Post & Frozen Funland: There's a "big summer blowout" happening inside the park's Soundstage One, where Oaken – the film's trading post owner – and his cousins have created the "Frozen Funland" amidst a winter wonderland. Living up to its name, there will be plenty of frozen festivities inside the makeshift adventure park Oaken and his cousins built to make the most of the sudden snowstorm.

Part of the Oaken's Frozen Funland will be an ice skating rink with demonstrations by some of Oaken's talented cousins on the Arendelle ice.

In addition, icy artisans will put their talents on display, creating carvings of favorite "Frozen" characters from giant frozen blocks. Kids can enjoy frozen wintertime activities in the "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" area. For all of his Frozen Funland friends, Oaken has plenty of merchandise at his Trading Post, along with hot cocoa and sweet treats available for purchase.

Guests can take pictures with the film's animated characters in a virtual setting, and then email them or share on their social media channels.

When guests want to escape the icy atmosphere of Oaken's outpost, all they have to do is look for the door marked "Sauna," where they once again will exit to the warm Florida sun.

Coolest Summer Ever Dance Party: From 5:30-9:30 p.m. each evening, a live band will take the stage to celebrate the Frozen summer fun with contemporary songs and a few familiar tunes from the film.

Take-Along Olaf: As a special feature before the fireworks, guests will have a chance to be a part of a pre-show celebration by hashtagging photos of themselves in the park with a "Take-Along Olaf." Throughout the day, Take-Along Olafs will be distributed at various locations in the park. Guests are then invited to take Olaf along with them on their Disney's Hollywood Studios adventures. By sharing their photos with the unique hashtag #OlafSummerVacation, their photos may appear on the big screen in this special pre-show feature.

Frozen Fireworks: At 9:35 each evening, the giant Sorcerer Mickey Hat on Hollywood Blvd. gets the full Frozen treatment with special projections of snow and ice images, in an eye-popping spectacular above Hollywood Blvd. Set to the film's soundtrack, the fireworks show will feature some special guests – including a very magical appearance from Elsa in which she will show how her powers flurry "through the air and to the ground" to produce magically icy blue and white gleaming fireworks.

More Frozen Fun! The Frozen festivities do not end at Disney's Hollywood Studios! At Magic Kingdom, fans can get immersed in these "Frozen" fantasies:

Meet Anna and Elsa inside Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland

Q&A with Rex Lee - spills about ABC Family's new comedy "Young & Hungry"

TONIGHT at 8/7c you'll be able to get a look at ABC Family's NEW comedy Young & Hungry! To give you a idea of what you'll be in store for we were able to have a little sit down with actor Rex Lee.

On the new ABC Family comedy Rex Lee plays the high-strung character Elliot who is Josh’s publicist and right-hand-man. He oversees the hiring of Josh’s personal chef. Elliot would much prefer a famous chef for the job and is unimpressed by Gabi and her resume. He makes no secret of his disdain for Gabi.

Rex Lee is best known for playing the character of Lloyd, the engaging and extremely funny assistant to Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), on HBO’s Entourage. When Lee landed the role, it was a four-episode arc. His portrayal of Lloyd was so well received that the role was expanded, and he was added as a series regular for eight seasons. Rex’s performance won him the 2007 and 2008 Asian Excellence Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in Television and the “KoreAm” Achievement in Entertainment Award in 2007. Most recently, Rex was a regular on the first two seasons of ABC’s comedy series Suburgatory, in which he portrayed Mr. Wolfe, the clueless guidance counselor. Here's an excerpt of our conversation.

Q: How was your character, Elliot Park, originally described to you?

Rex: David Holden [Executive Producer and Series Writer] was on the phone with me and he explained a little bit of the back story for the character, which had to do with other members of his family, who we have not met in the series at all. He explained how my character grew up with all these brothers and what happened to them and how that influenced his style of moving into the realm of Josh Kaminski [played by Jonathan Sadowski]. My character, Elliot, likes to be in control. I’m not going to say he’s controlling; I’m not going to say he’s a control freak, but he likes to rule the roost.

Q: Was there anything that you added to him that wasn't originally scripted for you?

Rex: I think any time that you’re called upon to perform a role, you bring things about yourself to the role that aren’t necessarily there in the writing. So I can’t say that I deliberately made this character like myself.

Sometimes when I go out in the world and people recognize me from work I’ve done, they’re always a little bit surprised that I look and sound like the characters I’ve played. I sort of have to say, “But I’m me and I look like me, and I don’t usually alter my voice to play characters, although maybe in the future I will.” But up until now, I’ve pretty much just used my voice, so I always look and sound like the characters I play. The characters end up being similar to me in a way that I might not have intended in the beginning.

Q: Could you describe the relationship between your character Elliot and Gabi [played by Emily Osment]?

Rex: Their relationship is definitely evolving. The thing about Elliot is he is not a monster, he has a heart. Therefore, the fact that his perspective of Gabi is that she doesn’t always have it together, I think that he often has compassion for her. I certainly think that Elliot is a person who thinks that as long as you can take his guff, he’s going to give you his guff. Any time that she’s feeling good, he’s probably going to be razzing her a little bit.

Q: Will we see your character dating on Young & Hungry like we did with your character on Suburgatory?

Rex: Yes! I will admit that my character has not had a love interest in any of the episodes we’ve filmed so far, but I’m certainly hopeful that in the future Elliot will have a love interest. I’m really hopeful about that for sure.

Q: What’s it like working with Emily Osment?

Rex: It’s great! I might have been living under a rock because I had never seen an episode of Hannah Montana even though I've heard of the show, so I didn't really know who Emily was. When they told me she was the lead of the show, I had to look her up and find pictures and figure out what work she’d done [laughs]. It turned out that I had seen part of a film she’d done called Dadnapped. She played the daughter of the mystery writer, so I had seen part of that.

As we got to working, I thought this young woman is someone I can learn a lot from. She’s just such a pro at such a young age, and I have to say that she really surprises me all the time. Sometimes I’ll be watching a scene that’s populated by other actors and I’ll think that actor really missed a joke there, and I’ll say to myself “how would I have delivered that line?” Every time I’m watching Emily at her work, she’s always doing and saying things in a way that’s completely surprising to me and is really delightful as a surprise. I never really worry about her, even though I’m constantly thinking “it’s really not how I would have delivered that line at all.” I’ll also think that she delivered it in a better way than I ever would. I just think she’s amazing and I have so much to learn!

Q: Are there any character traits that you share with Elliot?

Rex: I don’t like to admit this at all, because I think it’s a character flaw of mine, but I think to the extent that Elliot goes out into the world and has judgments about other people, I can relate to that. I’m not proud of it, but I can relate to that. I think that Elliot certainly has a desire for the world around him to be orderly and clean, everything right in its place, and I am like that. The hilarious thing as I’m looking around my place right now and if I just have order in things, I would be lost; I’m a slob that wishes everything around me was neat!

Chicago will be the home for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art

The Windy City is rolling out the red carpet for George Lucas and his Museum of Narrative Art. Here's the official word from Lucasfilm.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art (LMNA) confirmed yesterday that it will reside in Chicago, and is set for a 17-acre expanse on the city’s Museum Campus. The LMNA will focus on narrative art, showing the development of storytelling from illustration to film to digital.

“We are honored to be partnering with the city of Chicago and the many cultural, educational, and community groups that have come forward with ideas about how the LMNA will add to their vibrant work,” said George Lucas, the museum’s founder. “I am humbled to be joining such an extraordinary museum community and to be creating the museum in a city that has a long tradition of embracing the arts.” | |

Go wild at Disney's Animal Kingdom Wild Africa Trek

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World Resort is to visit the wild world of Disney's Animal Kingdom. The Kilimanjaro Safari takes you in to see some of the majestic animals on the planet roaming free on grounds that are similar to their native habitats. Even though you get pretty close to the animals on that attraction it can be a mixed bag since the animals do pretty much whatever they want. In order to get really up close you should try going on the Wild Africa Trek experience. Check out this promo from Disney Parks below.

Get up close and personal with real African animals on Wild Africa Trek! Visit: to learn more!

This video will give you an up-close-and-personal look at what it's really like to go on the Wild Africa Trek in Disney's Animal Kingdom. A privately guided VIP expedition offering close encounters with exotic African wildlife in their native habitat.

Please Note: This tour requires a separate admission ticket to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.
