Star Wars: The Clone Wars Legacy - Revealing insights to unreleased episodes

Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series released its last batch of episodes (13 total) in March but fans of the series knew there were many more episodes that were being developed before the series was cancelled. That left fans wondering how/when/if those stories would ever come to light. It seems that Lucasfilm Animation answered the fan's wishes and will be releasing some story reels with voiceovers to fill in some of the backstory of these beloved characters. | |

Learn about the lasting effects of The Clone Wars television series on the Star Wars saga and the future stories yet to be told.

I am so appreciative to Disney and Lucasfilm Animation for releasing these episodes. My wife and I really enjoyed the Clone Wars and were saddened to see the show end prematurely. At least now these stories are now part of the Star Wars Universe. From what I gathered from watching these episodes I would consider these stories to be canon, or accepted part of the Star Wars Saga (like the films) but I have yet to see it officially called that by Lucasfilm itself.

What do you think about these episodes? Should they have seen the light of day? Leave your comments below.

Disney’s Club Penguin Pledges to Build Three Schools Globally for Back to School

Through Online Play, Kids to Help Build Three Real-world Schools in Ecuador, Haiti and India

Disney’s Club Penguin players can help other kids go back to school this year with the new ‘Build a School’ online event. From September 18 – October 1, players that log onto Club Penguin on web and mobile will help with the building of three real world schools in Ecuador, Haiti and India. Additionally, Club Penguin will provide 14,000 backpacks to kids across the United States on players’ behalf.

Starting September 18, kids can log into Club Penguin and embark on a scavenger hunt, cleaning up the Club Penguin University. During the scavenger hunt, they will learn about schools around the world and how they can make a difference in the lives of others. At the end of the event, Club Penguin, in partnership with charity partner Free the Children, will build three real-world schools in the next year and will donate 14,000 backpacks across the US. As special thanks for their help, players will receive exclusive in-world items, such as a schoolhouse igloo, a pro skater helmet, lab goggles and more.

Players that want to further give back can apply for the Club Penguin Matching Gift Program, which will give a total of $25,000 in matching grants this year to student leaders that fundraise on their own to help build a school in a Free the Children community.

As a result of the generous in-world actions kids have made over the years, Club Penguin has helped an excess of one million people in more than 42 countries by funding projects such as:

· 22 schools built for over 20,000 children

Epcot's Maelstrom to get a "Frozen" makeover

Tom Staggs, Chairman, Disney Parks and Resorts announced that the Maelstrom ride at Epcot's Norway pavillion in World Showcase will be getting replaced by a "Frozen" themed attraction.

Staggs states, "The new attraction, which replaces Maelstrom, will take our guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film. The pavilion will also include a royal greeting location where Anna and Elsa can meet our guests. We think these "Frozen" elements are great compliments to the Norway Pavilion, which showcases the country and region that inspired the film."

"Frozen's" popular characters will also have a bigger presence at Magic Kingdom Park this holiday season. In addition to the ongoing character appearances, Queen Elsa will use her powers to transform Cinderella Castle into an ice palace every night starting in early November. And Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party-goers can see Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf in "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade."

We're extending some favorite elements of Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!, too, so that guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios can continue singing along to "Frozen" songs with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. Wandering Oaken's will set up shop closer to the show through the holiday season and will feature a larger play area with real snow (in Florida!).

From the moment we screened the film several months before its release, we were inspired by the possibility of bringing this great story to life for our guests. Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! has been extremely popular, and now we're looking forward to doing even more to allow our guests to experience the "Frozen" phenomenon. | |

As word of this announcement spread across the internet hard-core Disney fans weren't pleased and took to social media to profess their displeasure. Most comments very critical of how a fictional land like Frozen's Arendelle has no place in Epcot's educational World Showcase made of "real" countries. Other related Tweets were also in favor of a new attraction coming to Epcot citing that the theme park is ready for a new attraction that that the movie tie-in would only help increase attendance and bring a whole new audience into learning about other diverse cultures.

This past March Disney reported that "Frozen" became the top-grossing animated film of all time with $1.072 billion in domestic and international sales. As of today BoxOfficeMojo lists the film has overtaken "Toy Story 3," which had earned $1.063 billion. It is also the 10th largest global blockbuster and is the first billion-dollar film from Disney Animation Studios.

What do you think about the changes to the Norway pavillion? Is the sound of this new attraction warming your heart or leaving you cold? Leave your comments below.
