The wait for the title of the new Star Wars film is now over. Today announced that Episode VII will now be known as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens,"

Reprising their roles from the original trilogy are Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2).

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is directed by J.J. Abrams with a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

What do you think about the Episode VII name? I have a feeling that it will take some time to stop saying "Ep. 7" in favor of the new moniker for me.
